We are a Type 2 IA wildland fire crew based in Fairbanks Alaska. We respond to wildland fires across the state and to fires in the Lower 48.

We are a state crew not a federal one. As a state crew, we belong to State of Alaska Division of Forestry under the Department of Natural resources (DNR).

Our crew operates from April through October starting off with our Critical 80 in the middle of April. Our base of operations is out of Forestry in Fairbanks, Alaska. While we have Alaskans from around the state on our crew, we also have crew members who come from all over the United States.

The crew offers limited housing on base to those that need it, with many renting dry cabins around the greater Fairbanks area. Being located down from the University, we have laundry and stores within walking distance as well as several local restaurants.
